Brooke O’Brien- Lost Before you | ARC Review

lost before you1

Title: Lost Before You (Heart’s Compass Book 2)
Author: Brooke O’Brien
Genre: Romance, Young Adult, New Adult
Publication Date: October 27, 2017

I wish someone would’ve warned me about the dangers of falling in love with your best friend.

I was no stranger to covering up my problems with meaningless sex and alcohol.

When Brea asked me for one night to help her forget, I craved being the man she needed.

Just sex.

No commitment.

Then she begged me to promise her nothing would change between us. I couldn’t bring myself to lie to her.

One night.

One broken promise.

I will never forget the night I fell in love with my best friend, and now nothing will ever be the same.

This is a standalone book from the Heart’s Compass Series but it is interconnected to Book 1 aka Where I Found You.
I cannot believe I’m saying this but I prefer this book more than the first. And before you go all “whatever” on me.. let me tell you something…. I fell in love with Ellie and Callum and their intense relationship but People! Brea and Mason? Brooke O’Brien took it into a whole new level! Explosively Addictive!

Here’s my new theory, If the Character’s name is Mason- Don’t think, Just buy the damn book! I swear I kid you not, I’ve read and re-read 3 male characters with that name and they have been THE BOMB! Alpha Male all the way *swoon*

Brea and Mason’s relationship isn’t perfect, There are moments where you just want to slap their heads and scream in frustration but I guess in hindsight, that is the beauty isn’t it? You feel what they feel- every betrayal, every sadness, every joy and the love that pours through the words written in the book.

Brooke O’Brien is a new author, She released her first book Where I Found You just this May and so far I have been throughly enjoying the books… Looking forward to reading more of the books.
