JARED

If I had a dollar for every time Banner Morales made my heart skip a beat…
The heart everyone assumes is frozen over.
Her anger is…arousing.
Every glare from those fire-spitting eyes, every time she grits her teeth, gets me…well, you know.
If I had a dollar for every time she’s put me in my place, I’d be an even richer man.
I’m a successful sports agent because I assume “no” means you’ll think about it.
I’m sure what you meant to say is “Coming right up.”
They say even rich men don’t always get what they want, but those men don’t know how to play the game. The trick is to keep them guessing.
Take Banner. She assumes she’s winning, but this game?
She doesn’t even know how to play.

BANNER

If I had a dollar for every time Jared Foster broke my heart, I’d have exactly one dollar.
One night. One epic fail. One dollar…and I’m out.
I’ve moved on.
I’ve found success in a field ruled by men.
Anything they can do, I have done better.
They can keep the field while I call the shots, blocking them when I have to.
And Jared has the nerve to think he gets a second chance?
Boy, please. Go sit down. Have several seats.
I’ll just be over here ignoring the man carved from my fantasies with a lust-tipped chisel.
Oh, I didn’t say the struggle wasn’t real.
But I’ve got that one dollar, and Jared won’t have me.

Ever since I read Long Shot (Review of Long Shot) this past march, I have been eager for Jared’s story. I knew it would take a special woman to knock this man off his egomaniac self. Banner was everything I hoped for Jared: Ambitious, independent, strong but most of all his equal.

Banner is Jared’s equinox.

I am utterly amazed by Kennedy Ryan’s writing. Her ability to connect characters and readers is a work of art. I was honestly a little apprehensive… ok..very apprehensive about Long Shot. Yes, there was excitement but the the apprehension was real. Why the dramatics, you ask? Well, You see…. I LOVED Long Shot with every core of my being and I was honestly really nervous to read Block Shot. I mean, won’t you be too after the beauty that was Long Shot?!
But I set aside aside my fear and went along with excitement. Now, I don’t regret it one bit!
I love Block Shot.
I love this series.
I love Kennedy Ryan’s writing.
I love Kennedy Ryan’s imagination.
And..I can’t wait to read Kenan and Lotus’s book. (FYI, I’m quite proud of the fact that I didn’t even have to second guess their names hahahaha!I know them by heart now 🙂 )

Jared and Banner’s love is undeniable… I don’t care what anyone has to say about the what if or the why… They were meant to be, come rain or shine. End Of.
Jared is the ultimate alpha male… sexy, confident, ruthless, honest…and brutal. But for me.. Banner is my girl! I loved Banner.. I admired her dedication. Having a book protagonist go through the everyday struggle of what you go through, I couldn’t help but connect with the character. Her insecurities became my insecurities, her fears became my fear, as for her dedication? well… that was just simply inspiring.

Block Shot has power within it’s words.. It oozes strength and determination.

And I can’t recommend this book enough! I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Happy Reading!
